IOSH Worker Involvement
The Health and Safety Executive commissioned Premier Partnership to develop and deliver these courses to help organisations encourage employees to become involved in health and safety.
- IOSH Introduction to Worker Involvement:
This is a two day course for health and safety representatives designed to give basic knowledge to establishing consultation and workforce involvement. - IOSH Worker Involvement Plus:
This is an optional one day follow on course further develops “people skills” and arrangements for improving workforce involvement– line managers are encouraged to attend to help address specific problems the organisation may experiencing.
Delegates will receive a full IOSH certificate for successful completion of each course
IOSH Introduction to Worker Involvement (2 day course)
Who is this course for?
The training is for potential, new or existing health and safety representatives. It is for all organisations who wish to improve health and safety, motivation and communication within their organisation.
Objectives
This course provides employees with the knowledge and “people skills” required for establishing and developing consultation and workforce involvement to help improve health and safety practice in the workplace. Health and Safety Executive research shows that organisations that encourage worker involvement have:
- Fewer accidents
- Reduced risk of financial loss
- More motivated staff
- Better communication

- Legislation and the role of employer and employees
- Risk assessment awareness & best practice
- Communication and influencing change
- Negotiation skills
Format
This course is classroom based and uses demonstrations, practical exercises and case studies.

£1000 plus VAT. For up to 15 delegates.
Plus £20 per delegate for the IOSH certification.

IOSH Worker Involvement Plus (1 day follow on course)
Who is this course for?
The training health and safety representatives who have attended the IOSH Introduction to Worker Involvement course. Line managers are encouraged to attend so any specific problems the organisation is facing can be solved with the facilitation of the trainer.
Objectives
To help organisations overcome barriers to change, through effective decision making and joint problem solving. This will improve consultation between H&S representatives and management leading to improved safety culture.
