This programme provides staff with an understanding of correct lifting techniques and the requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations.

Who is this course for?

All staff involved in lifting and carrying

Objectives

Delegates will gain an awareness of the effects on
the body from incorrect lifting and competence in
correct lifting techniques.

Content

  • Legislative and basic requirements for Manual Handling Operations Regulations
  • Lifting techniques
  • Any of the organisations policies and procedures can be taken into account

Duration

2 or 3 hours (depending on requirements/ job
roles etc.)

Format

This course incorporates presentations, discussions and practical demonstrations.
This format provides an ideal way to gain some basic knowledge of manual handling.
