IOSH Managing Safely
During the course there will be 2 or 3 mock assessments to confirm key knowledge and to familiarise you with the format and style of questions. At the end of day four the end of course assessment will comprise a 1 hour written assessment to confirm key knowledge. All assessments take place under exam conditions.
The risk assessment project must be completed within 2 weeks of finishing the course.
The written risk assessment is assessed. This project will be based on your workplace and your learning from the course. The course tutor will spend time towards the end of the course running through the assessment project which will take you about 1 - 2 hours to complete back at your workplace.
Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments at the end of the course are awarded an IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely

IOSH Managing Safely Refresher
For those who have passed the IOSH Managing Safely course within the last three years. This 1 day course includes a short hazard exercise and a 30 minute written assessment paper. A certificate will be issued to all successful candidates

NEBOSH National General Certificate
Following successful examination a nationally recognised qualification is available. This is the NEBOSH National General Certificate in general health and safety. It is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK. For full details of the qualification please visit the "About Courses and Course Outlines" section.
The NEBOSH National General Certificate meets the requirements for Technician membership (TechIOSH) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
The NEBOSH National General Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework (NQF) by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland. The logos of these organisations will appear on the certificates awarded for the qualification.
The examination consists of 2 written examinations (NGC1 and NGC2). Each exam lasts for 2 hours.
In addittion there is a 2 hour practical examination (NGC3)
These examinations typically take place 1 to 2 weeks after the course. The dates are agreed with delegates beforehand.
