Doncasters Premier Partnership Provides Actors For Disability Employment Adviser Training At The Department For Work and Pensions (DWP) Throughout UK
Premiers actors will work with Disability Employment Advisers to enhance their interviewing skills in this vital area. The actors will be used to role play disabled customers and their key supporters who will be at the interview with them (e.g. a support worker, union representative or family member)
Experience has shown that using actors (rather than colleagues) enables facilitators to exercise more control in managing skills practice situations. The professionalism displayed by actors used regularly also gives training sessions additional credibility and conviction which helps bring out key learning points
A series of 4 day events for Jobcentre Plus Disability Employment Advisers will be delivered by Jobcentre Plus facilitators using Premier Partnerships actors over 5 days - Monday-Friday inclusive at various venues including Newcastle, London, Birmingham, Bristol, and Cardiff
Commenting on the awarding of the contract David Pearson a Premier Partnership Director said "This contract represents continuity of work for Premier with the Department of Work and Pensions and we are delighted to have been selected for such an important and challenging task at so many Job Centre Plus locations across the UK"
