What is the Police Degree Apprenticeships Consortium?
The Police Degree Apprenticeships Consortium (PDAC) is a collaboration between training provider Premier Partnership and a group of leading universities in policing programmes and criminology – University of Cumbria, Portsmouth University, Middlesex University and Canterbury Christ Church University. The Consortium is working together to lead in the delivery of a blended learning approach to degree apprenticeships for police forces across the UK.
The PDAC has launched a single place for registering, tracking and accessing all apprenticeship learning for police forces across the UK. The bespoke delivery platform will register all apprentices, give access to high quality learning delivery from the best providers, and manage all learner progression across the Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF). There will be a range of apprenticeships available for Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), Constables, Sergeants and more senior officers.
The ‘one stop shop’ learning portal makes registering and undertaking apprenticeships simple, and provides both employers and learners with practical support from a Consortium that understands their needs and goals.
